Supporting Search & Rescue Teams and Communities Recovering After the Earthquake
Led by Jaguartivist founder Ernesto Borges, a Core Member of Grassroots Aid Partnership, this humanitarian response is deeply personal. As a Venezuelan who grew up in Caraballeda and Caracas, I have witnessed the devastation affecting the communities (Los Cocos) that shaped my childhood. Together with trusted local partners, we are supporting the courageous search and rescue teams working tirelessly to save lives and helping deliver essential aid to families impacted by this disaster.
Your support will help provide helmets, headlamps, rescue equipment, medical supplies, fuel, food, and other critical resources for the volunteers risking their lives on the front lines.
Through partnerships with trusted humanitarian organizations providing direct aid shipments into Venezuela, we are also collecting non-perishable food, hygiene products, medical supplies, and other essential relief supplies to reach affected communities as recovery continues.

As Search and Recovery Teams continue their work in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, GAP team members are currently sending barrels and pallets of relief supplies. Working directly with friends and vetted partner organizations in Jamaica, GAP is activating our deployment plan while helping immediately with water barrels, food, soap, boots, generators, chainsaws, first aid and other supplies.
